Corsair Force Series GT Design and Features
This SSD comes in a deep red casing and measures just 2.5 inches wide. The adapter that the drive comes with allows it to fit in traditional 3.5-inch hard drive bays. And because SSDs have no moving parts like traditional hard drives, the Force Series GT can withstand shock, vibration an extreme temperatures changes far better than standard drives. Also thanks to its lack of moving parts, this SSD only consumes 2.5W of power when running.
The Force Series GT also features support for the Windows 7 TRIM command, which enables it to only store the data it needs to hit maximum read and write speeds more easily. The drive is also capable of 85,000 IOPS, or input/output operations per second. Finally, this SSD also comes with S.M.A.R.T. support, which allows it to anticipate errors and give the user time to react before data is lost.
