When we first sat the XFX GeForce 8800 GT 512MB next to the reference NVIDIA card a upset just didn’t look right. XFX implimented a better fan and also augmented the notch in the take in to let more cool air in. The slits on the sides of the take in have also been augmented to improve airflow nearly the capacitors and additional heat producing components.  The changes to the cooling really paid off as the XFX GeForce 8800 GT Card was 15C cooler at idle and 8C cooler at load thankfulness to the augmented airflow. Not terrible compelling into account the XFX GeForce 8800 GT Card Alpha Dog is running overclocked! Our assess try out have a core timer frequency of 625MHz and the reference cards from NVIDIA run at 600MHz.

The pair of dual-link DVI relations and the TV productivity connector on the XFX GeForce 8800 GT Card Alpha Dog are what one would guess on any XFX GeForce 8800 GT Card. The TV productivity is HDTV ready.
XFX GeForce 8800 GT Alpha Dog Video Card SLI Connector
There is a release SLI connector on all of the XFX GeForce 8800 GT Card, which makes it possbile to do SLI. It should be prominent that when NVIDIA does 3-way or 4-way SLI down the road that the XFX GeForce 8800 GT Card and XFX GeForce 8800 GT Card will not be supported in view of the fact that it has just one connection. In view of the fact that most of our readers update their logic on a fixed basis this shouldn’t be a interest.

In view of the fact that the G92 core on the  XFX GeForce 8800 GT Card requires more power than what the PCI Express slot can give up on the motherboard, so an additional 6-pin PCIe power slogan is located on the side of the card.
XFX GeForce 8800 GT Alpha Dog Video Card Back
The back of the XFX GeForce 8800 GT Card 512MB Alpha Dog Graphics Card is where the black PCB can be best seen.  In view of the fact that there are no heat sinks or covers on the back there isn’t too much to talk in this area! Let’s take a look at the bundle before we go on to hard.
