Gigabyte P67A UD4 Motherboard Reviews

Introduction

Gigabyte P67A UD4 Motherboard  has been on a role in the last few being with their mid-range lineup of Gigabyte P67A UD4 Motherboard, specifically the UD3 and UD4 series, have a huge subsequent and are highly regarded surrounded by the community.  They have earned their spot for excellent reason too, and the regard pricing combined with top notch overclocking capabilities have been a tough act to follow.  With the release of Intel’s latest platform, will theGigabyte P67A UD4 Motherboard mid-range hold onto it’s competitive edge?

The motherboard that we have for you now sits right in the middle of the P67 lineup at $189.99.  It carries the “Even more Durable 4″ christening machinate of it’s predecessors, which indicates a weigh between price and facial appearance, in comparison with the UD3 line and the privileged end UD5 and UD7.  For example, the UD4 shares the Realtek ALC892 audio codec of the UD3 boards, but chains Crossfire and SLI equipment like the UD5 and UD7 boards.  Even if, if you plot to run two graphics cards in your logic, whether AMD or Nvidia based, this is the least high-priced solution that will help a dual PCIe x8 configuration.  It also splits the alteration with a 12 phase VRM design, compared to a 6 phase design on the UD3, and a 20 or 24 phase on the UD5 or UD7 correspondingly.

On paper that means the Gigabyte P67A UD4 Motherboard is the best extent for a serious gaming machine or workstation at a mid-range price.  The UD5 and UD7 do have compelling facial appearance, but the alteration in price will make the UD4 the extent for most cost insightful buyers.  The question is; does the UD4 have what it takes to win over buyers in this highly competitive promote?

We are huge fans of the new color machinate, it’s aesthetically pleasing even as remaining unique.  This is the first time we’ve seen a not glossy black PCB on a mass manufacturemotherboard and looks fantastic!  The UD4 only includes 4x fan headers, which is in this area average for a mid range board, even if 5x or more would make it a bit more appealing.

Gigabyte P67A UD4 Motherboard also value noting that the UD4 does not map any on-board buttons. This makes by the board on a test bench a bit more deadly, but for most users, it will be a non-come forth.  The CMOS jumper may be an come forth for many users (more on that in a bit).

The Gigabyte P67A UD4 Motherboard chipset chains native control of up to 6 SATA hard diskdrives, two of which can be SATA3 diplomacy.  There aren’t any 3rd party controllers built-in, so no inheritance IDE drives here.  In peacefulness to get more storage options, you’d have to step all the way up to the UD7, or austerely add on a 3rd party PCI/PCIe controller.  The board does have Gigabyte P67A UD4 Motherboard DualBIOS™ equipment for redundancy in case of BIOS corruption.  Gigabyte also claims 3GB+ boot compatibility, typically a limitation of this “ancient” BIOS equipment.  Gigabyte P67A UD4 Motherboard is also gifted compatibility with UEFI in the prospect.
